Thank you Doreen for allowing me to take a part in your life, for introducing your family to mine and for helping us settle into the neighbourhood and the folk of "the Lane". As I sit at my desk, I can hear your voice say "Now listen Andy......" It makes me smile, thank you. The thoughts and memories of times in the shop together are precious to me, there are many. Dear Doh, as that's how I remember her, she was always smiling, full of life, loved eating lumps of cheese and was always welcoming to me, a childhood friend of her dear daughter Sue, so sad that she has gone but she lived a long, vigorous life, she was a gem.
